Who We Are
Patients and Patents is a patient-driven and patient-focused resource whose goal is to inform and engage patient groups, advocates and other stakeholders from around the world on issues surrounding medical innovation and access to treatments.
This site is a centralized information resource that will allow visitors to:
- Learn about issues affecting the global research and development environment, including access to medicines, public-private partnerships and patents;
- Track policy initiatives and discussion affecting the global research and development environment;
- Communicate with other stakeholders, policymakers and the public about the importance of protecting a strong research environment to patients around the world; and
- Provide opportunities for engagement in the ongoing discussion on global medical research and development.
Patients and Patents accepts and welcomes financial support from individuals organizations and businesses that support our goals of promoting medical research and development and improving patient access to medicines.

The content and focus of www.patientsandpatents.com is directed by the Patient and Patents Advisory Board. The Board is comprised of international representatives from patient groups, academics and other stakeholders.
